With an academic background business studies and psychology, Carol has spent most of her career as an HR professional within financial services and corporate functions. After operational experience as HR Business Partner within Goldfish Bank and AA Insurance, including setting up a 400-strong contact centre from scratch in 6 months, Carol moved into more strategic projects. One of these involved successfully project managing a company-wide introduction of flexible benefits to over 30,000 employees.
Following this, she spent two years creating, piloting and embedding a bespoke flexible working solution for Centrica, and was part of the CIPD’s Flexible Working initiative for best practice. Carol was a member of Henley Management College’s Future Work Forum and an Associate of Wisework
The Centrica work:wise programme was rolled out to over 3,500 people with substantial property benefits. Carol managed the HR, L&D and cultural aspects of their unique team-based approach. Financial benefit in the first year was £8m with a projected saving of £31m over five years.
During the last eight years Carol has specialised in helping organisations including RBS, Royal Mail, British Gas and Lloyds TSB through their change management process with particular emphasis on managing a flexible and remote workforce.
