Alistair is a chartered accountant with a knack for helping businesses to unlock their commercial potential and to resolve those things with numbers that would otherwise keep them awake at night! He has designed and delivered many successful projects including acquisitions, start-ups, business case preparation, cost reduction campaigns, integrations, systems implementations and business sales. Adept at financial planning, project management and team building, he brings a collaborative, frank and thought-proving style aimed at helping the client to realise their goals.
In a previous life he was EMEA Corporate Controller for Covidien and Chairman of their Hampshire based medical devices company. Prior to that, Alistair learnt his trade at Cap Gemini, NFC and PKF. His thirst for learning has inspired him to study part-time for an MSc in Major Programme Management at Oxford University. He lives in Winchester with his partner and two daughters. A sports-fan, he has been known to occasionally hack his way round a golf course or flail a cricket bat unsuccessfully in the general direction of a ball.
I have worked closely with Alistair over the past three years in his capacity as EMEA Controller for Covidien. We have collaborated on a number of projects, including a large-scale, EMEA-wide initiative to reduce discretionary spending across all countries in areas such as Travel, Telecoms and Print. This involved an extensive communications campaign, backed up by financial and supplier data. Alistair is an excellent business partner for both myself and my team with a logical and rigorous approach to decision-making and a genuine commitment to do the right thing for the organisation. I highly value his business acumen, strategic insight and overall support.
